A couple of boxes of goodies from NASA have arrived for distribution to SLASers and the public. The boxes contain Venus transit wall charts, eclipse viewing glasses and Sun-related events bookmarks. This shipment contains only 200 of each (I hope to get more before the transit) so only one of each item per person please at tomorrow's SLAS meeting as I need to pass some out to public at the eclipse and at the museum's Transit Watch. Meeting info here: http://slas.us/displayevent.asp?EventID=1837 patrick (T-minus 5 days and counting)
Not only because I want some NASA goodies, but also to prove my existence, I will not only attend the meeting tomorrow, but I will also pay dues and join SLAS! I'm hoping this makes me appear in mirrors. Also, for St. George are folks, if you're looking for free eclipse glasses, you can go to the Bureau of Land Management, Interagency Information Center at 345 E Riverside Dr, they have an undisclosed supply of glasses that they are handing out. There is a viewing party planned at the Washington County Water Conservation District building, located at 533 E Waterworks Dr, next to Pioneer Park in St. George. I looked all that up for the folks at Worldmark St. George, where I stayed the past couple nights while visiting Zion. They're going to have a decent eclipse view from the property there, just near the southern 'blue line.' On Tue, May 15, 2012 at 6:18 PM, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com>wrote:

Excellent! You can do that here: http://slas.us/Payments/PayDues.asp
Better late than never! This place is tough to find the first time around. If I had wanted this much exercise, I would have picked a hobby other than astronomy! On Tuesday, May 15, 2012, Patrick Wiggins wrote:
