Newcastle, Beryl Junction, or Kanarraville?
At this point I'm leaning toward Newcastle to avoid the guaranteed crowds in Kanarraville. I figure if Newcastle is also a mess I can then easily head to Beryl Junction. Looking at the path in Google Earth it appears the road leading NW out of Beryl Junction follows the center line almost exactly for about 4-6 miles. So there's always that if you want to avoid the big crowds. I'm interested in meeting up with others. If anyone is putting a group together please send me your cell phone #... Paul
Hi Paul we're playing it by ear but may end up in Newcastle. My cell is 801-913-3588. What's yours? We are planning on arriving at the Beryl Junction airstrip about 4:30 or 5:00. We'll stay until just after third contact and be back in Salt Lake around 9:00 or 9:30. I am not anticipating a big crowd there. My contact down there says the school at Beryl has trees to the west. The airstrip should be good. The road leading west northwest from Beryl is also good, and there are many roads heading north along that way to use as turn offs. The sheriff there says he won't bother anyone unless they are blocking access to private land. ________________________________ From: Paul Witte <paul@linkrealms.com> To: utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com Sent: Saturday, May 19, 2012 11:33 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Newcastle, Beryl Junction, or Kanarraville?
