Memorial Day Weekend at Great Basin National Park
Hello everyone! Can you believe that summer is almost here? Please tell that to the weather since we have snow forecasted here for tomorrow. I just wanted to invite everyone to come to Great Basin NP for Memorial Day Weekend. We are having two star parties on both Saturday and Sunday night (May 28 & 29). If anyone would like to come and help out there will be free camping available. We'd love to see you. FYI, we are having star parties in the park every Wednesday and Saturday night, plus holiday weekends. Please know that you are welcome anytime. Contact me for more info. Kelly, Is it free camping if you bring a scope for any of the star parties? So if I was to come on a Wednesday or any other Saturday, is it free camping? And if someone does plan on coming with a scope, should they contact you first to let you know they are coming so you can reserve a site for them? Kelly: I am planning on heading down there on Saturday and would like to reserve a camping site for Saturday and Sunday Nights. I'll be bringing a telescope with me for the star Parties both night. If the weather heads south I may cancel but it looks OK for Saturday at least so far. Patrick, How do you take your flats? What exposures do you use, etc.? I have C-14 with an f/5 reducer similar to your setup. Clear Skies, Don Colton
