This just showed up on the C14 users group. It's a 34 hour exposure taken with an 18" f/12.6 classical cassegrain used at f/7.1 through Halpha and OIII filters. http://www.narrowbandimaging.com/jones1_mk1sn2_cm10_geg_cs_hao3o3_page.htm Personally, I'm going to stick with looking at you guys' pictures and stick to taking data. :) Looks like the skies could be pretty good tonight. And there are minor planets aplenty to pursue. pw
Patrick, have you ever imaged a binary asteroid? I think there are around 200 confirmed binaries, IIRC, was wondering if any can be imaged with typical higher-end amateur equipment... --- Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote: ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? A good place where you could post such a question would be on the Minor Planet Mailing List (http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/mpml/). Lots of pros and amateurs there that take minor planet work very seriously.
