Regarding "Darwinism on Trial In Kansas," Patrick wrote (this article is a great, concise summary of Deep Impact's finding's to date for shallow minds like mine): | Interestingly, the topic is also touched on in this piece about the Deep | Impact mission: | | http://www.spacedaily.com/news/comet-05zj.html I was just musing... If Chris Buttars understood the science behind the Deep Impact mission and the pan-spermia hypothesis (or is it just a theory?), how would that fit with his intelligent design ideas? Did the Intelligent Designer launch a fleet of comets from the Mother Ship to seed Earth? What about the seeds that didn't take? Were they aborted fetuses? Oh oh... Way off topic now. Apologies to all.

[also from Patrick's Ambassador newsletter -] http://deepimpact.umd.edu/press/050906nasa.html If anyone sees a preprint or reprint of the 9/3 _Science_ journal article on the Deep Impact results, please post. I'd like to read it. - Canopus56(Kurt) ______________________________________________________ Click here to donate to the Hurricane Katrina relief effort. http://store.yahoo.com/redcross-donate3/
