Mark Bloomenthal will be opening the Grim Scope tonight (Sunday) at 9:00 for an impromptu observing session. All are welcome. Y'all come! Patrick
Patrick, I've been wondering. If I wanted to set up at SPOC, is there any way to drive in close to the area so I woudln't have to lug my scope more than a few feet? I usually set up the tripod and wedge, tilt it back onto a stepstool that's just th e right size, and lift my telescope from the rear of the Jeep onto the wedge. Thanks, Joe
All you need is the combination to the gate lock, then you can drive right up to the observing field. If you are a SLAS member in good standing, I'm sure you can get it. I know it but am not authorized to give it out. But what you desire is very possible, Joe. --- Joe Bauman <bau@desnews.com> wrote:
