Re: [Utah-astronomy] Sun Party status?
Rodger and Chuck -- I sent a SLAS Blast saying that yesterday. However it didn't show up in my email. I thought maybe the blast went out to everybody except the person sending it. Now I wonder if there was a glitch with the Blast system. Did you get it? Thanks, Joe ------------------------------ On Fri, Feb 8, 2013 9:00 AM MST Rodger C. Fry wrote:
Chuck,
With the weather forecast indicating about a 95% chance of total overcast skies, we as a board agreed it would be best to cancel the sun party.

Whoops, I'm a day ahead on the calendar! It's tomorrow.
My step-daughter is visiting us from Florida and I took today off. In my head it felt like Saturday, lol.

Joe, I didn't get the SLAS blast. BTW, we advertise these solar parties at the UMNH on the ZAP website. When we had to cancel 2 Saturdays ago, I got 4 phone calls from the disappointed public asking questions if we were going to do it again. I send them to our website and always say "weather permitting." There seems to be interest in these parties! Well done all who participate and bring their scopes out for the public! -A
Ann, I informed the museum these were canceled. But if there's a separate item on the ZAP site it should be notified also when a cancellation takes place. Could you help me with that? Many thanks, Joe ________________________________ From: Ann House <ann@annhouse.org> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Friday, February 8, 2013 12:22 PM Subject: Re: [Utah-astronomy] Sun Party status?
