My late wife, Karen, sewed me an astronomy vest. I recently found a LVAS club patch and sewed it on the vest. I would like to acquire a SLAS patch and an OAS patch to add to the vest. Ann House says the SLAS patches sold out at Bryce. If you have an extra patch from either club let me know. Clear Dark Skies, Deloy Pierce

Personally, i would prefer something I did not have sew, like a Lapel Pin. The cost is very similar, probably the same.

When I first heard of this pin idea I wasn't all that impressed. But the the idea is growing on me. Especially the pancake pin. Lol! As it happens the SPOC Committee and SLAS Board are getting together Saturday. Maybe the pin idea could be discussed there. Rodger, as official SPOC pancake flipper what do you think? Care to bring a design to the meeting? :) Anyone know what's involved in having pins made? patrick Sent from my iPad On Jul 28, 2011, at 19:14, Jay Eads <jayleads@gmail.com> wrote:

In all seriousness I think it would be rather cool that when you complete training on one of the three scopes at SPOC you receive a pin of that scope. On Fri, Jul 29, 2011 at 10:15 AM, <erikhansen@thebluezone.net> wrote:

I guess the question is would you be willing to buy one if SLAS had some made, it does seem SLAS would eventually get reimbursed.
In all seriousness I think it would be rather cool that when you complete
training on one of the three scopes at SPOC you receive a pin of that scope.

As it happens the SPOC Committee and SLAS Board are getting together Saturday. Maybe the pin idea could be discussed there.
Rodger, as official SPOC pancake flipper what do you think? Care to bring a design to the meeting? :)
Anyone know what's involved in having pins made?
