The ranch we owned when I was a kid was eventually purchased by some well-to-do types (owner of Tombstone Pizza, as I recall). They built a huge house directly on the spot where I remember seeing a 5 or 6 foot deep raging flood in 1977. That particular flood nearly killed my sister.
