Rob and I have discussed trying it again in a couple of months when the full Moon will be much higher in the sky.

I encourage you both to do so, since to my knowledge a true long-baseline simultaneous amateur stereo image of a lunar limb has never been done because, I suspect, of the difficulty of getting two amateurs on different sides of the globe to take the images at the same time, weather permitting. - Kurt
