Thanks for your kind words, Patrick. It is some source of personal embrassment that I rallied the club on this and it flopped. But this kind of minor amateur stuff aside, hopefully the LCROSS team will be able to pull a useable science result out of what imaging that they did get. I hope that those who did show up had a good time. - Kurt
Kurt, Absolutely not. I want to thank you for the tremendous job you did. No one did a better job in trying to estimate what might have happened. This doesn't in the slightest mean you calculations were wrong. To me it means the conditions that were assumed on the Moon were likely different than predicted. Thank you again. I have an alternate theory. NASA shut down its own transmission when they realized they were bombing a lunar city. They did not want to broadcast hundreds of lunar women and children being shown screaming, running for cover and then being blown to bits. There will be a cover up for sure.
