I just saw on the news that the lake at Stansbury Park is turning a nuclear lime green and that dead fish are floating around and washing up in people's backyards. What's it like at the observatory? Does it smell like dead fish? DT
Hasn't it ALWAYS smelled like dead fish? On Mar 11, 2013 4:26 PM, "daniel turner" <outwest112@yahoo.com> wrote:

Apparently it's not just the lake at Stansbury that's turning green. there was a piece in yesterday's paper about another lake turning green and then coming north last evening at sunset I got this (rather poor) image of Utah Lake. Very green. Emerald green, just in time for St. Patrick's Day. :) http://users.wirelessbeehive.com/~paw/temp/greenlake.jpg patrick On 11 Mar 2013, at 16:40, Chuck Hards wrote:

Daniel, We were at SPOC last night getting things up and running for the special star party this Wednesday and I didn't notice anything unusual at the lake. Thanks Rodger C. A good possibility, there's bound to be lots of runnoff from the golf course and people's yards. I'm sure literally tons of fertilizer are applied in Stansbury every year. It's a man-made lake, IIRC, and not a water supply reservoir, so I'm not going to get bent out of shape over it. It's the resident's concern. it is a good candidate for a dead lake after only algae can survive.

Honestly, I never knew that there were any fish in there, in the first place. I just thought it was a mosquito preserve. On Tue, Mar 12, 2013 at 9:44 AM, <erikhansen@thebluezone.net> wrote:
