Two nights of narrowband imaging - NGC6960
Hi SLAS. I just posted a new image to my personal website. The image is a combination of 320 minutes of hydrogen alpha and 320 minutes of OIII data, collected over the last two nights under a very bright moon. The narrowband filters really make the full moon a non-issue. This is a false color image, but the colors are essentially correct for the nebula but not the stars. Perhaps, when the moon is gone, I will shoot some RGB data to add in to get the star color right. All my equipment was purring along like it is supposed to, which is somewhat rare (remember Murphy). At any rate, I really like this image and hope others will enjoy it as well. Here is a link to my "Latest Images" page: http://www.allred-astro.com/gpage8.html Be sure to click the thumbnail a couple of times for the full image. Comments and suggestions are always welcome. It is nice to know if anyone is looking at the images that I post.
