don't forget the didgerido. I met Mike when Steve and Cindy got married. Yes, he is single and does like the ladies.
I remember meeting Meter Mike at Capitol Reef many years ago. It was
a chilly night, and there was mud on the ground. His hallmark was that he never wore shoes of any sort. He set up his scope for all who were there to enjoy. At the time, he did not have a day job, and spent all of his time traveling the country and sharing his love of the night sky. Even then, he had nothing but praise for Steve Dodd's craftsmanship, and an overwhelming desire to get an even bigger mirror. One of the nicest people I have met in this hobby.

You have your finger on the pulse of amateur astronomy in Utah, Ziggy. I know Steve, but have never met Mike. I'm betting that he's a single guy. On Nov 16, 2012 3:41 PM, "Siegfried Jachmann" <siegfried@jachmann.org> wrote:
I notified Patrick of it on Tuesday and he had it in the news.I saw the mirror when Vaughn Parsons still had it. I'm glad to see it being made into a telescope. Sig On Fri, Nov 16, 2012 at 2:02 PM, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:

Did anyone else see KSL's story on the 72-inch mirror that Steve
Dodds
delivered to someone recently? I missed most of the details, including the name of the crazy guy who's going to have the largest amateur scope since Lord Rosse.
