I didn't even think of that. I was just eager to try out the
location. DOH!

With an almost full moon on the 11th you might want to go on the 18th instead.

I am thinking of heading up to Wolf Creek this Saturday to check it out and stay the night. I'm wondering if anyone else wants to do an impromptu star party?

Sorry, I meant to send an email about it. My two sons and I went up on Saturday. We found the general area for the site just fine. The road up to the peak was pretty rutty so I didn't make it up to the peak. I stopped at the big open field just after the left turn on the dirt road. My sons and I hung out there for a while and had dinner. The clouds didn't seem like they were going to break anytime soon and my youngest son was a bit spooked by something. He said he was getting uneasy feelings from the forest. So, we called it and came home. Didn't get any painting or viewing in, but that site is definitely going on my list of locations. It is very beautiful and peaceful up there. ++++++++++++++++++ Troy Davidson On Wed, Jul 15, 2009 at 11:03 AM, Jay Eads<jayleads@gmail.com> wrote:

Hi Jay, Are there any major telescope dealers in SLC? I've been to the Clark Planetarium and Inkley's, but their selections are somewhat limited. I'm looking for a small refractor; Inkley's had a nice Televue 76 but out of my budget! Celestron had something in Highland called "Telescopes and Rockets" listed; ever been there? Thanks, Craig
