Is it still owned by the Usifuchi's? I used to fly RC with the owner's son Dave decades ago.
Yes, Howell, Sr. passed away about a year and a half ago. Dave is still running the business but has decided to close out and sell the inventory. First time I went into Howell's was around 1981. - Kurt ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals? I worked at a color lab downtown from '80 to early '86. I don't even recognize the SLC CBD anymore. I only go downtown about once or twice a year these days. I should try and drop-in on Dave before he closes the doors. Dave also had a custom RX-7 at the same time that I had mine, '79-'80. We were both "rotor-heads" back then, too. Back in the early 50s our Company shared a common wall with Howell's Photo, on 3rd South just east of 2nd East. We later moved away from that location but continued to use them for photo processing for our Mortgage Company. Later, when I got into astro photography, I took my films to Dave because he would take the time to push or pull as necessary. To bad to see them go. Oh yeah. My favorite sandwich, liverwurst on rye with hot German mustard. All gone now.
