I had my list mail turned off for over a week as I was very busy working on a business venture, so I'm not sure if there has been any discussion on the recent comments of Dr. Edgar Mitchell. http://www.wesh.com/news/16998969/detail.html Although not mentioned in this article, I've read that he has first-hand knowledge of the existence of aliens. Has anyone else been following this? Could this be merely the rant of an old man seeking publicity? Certainly he has the credentials to speak with authority, being a former Apollo astronaut who has walked on the moon.
He's from Roswell N.M., hasn't seen any himself, knows of others who have but ain't naming names. What's there to discuss? ;) Quoting Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com>:

I know the initial impulse is to dismiss this kind of claim. It's not the first and won't be the last. I'm a skeptic, myself, but still hope to see indisputable evidence of extra-terrestrial intelligent life before I die. Proof of them actually being here would be far better than a signal detected from halfway across the galaxy. I'm pretty confident of that eventuality, so it won't get me nearly as hyped as if they were found to have actually travelled to earth.

Thanks Joe, I've been outside watching it approach. Interesting but so far nothing more than moderate winds and drizzles of rain. Ok, I'm headed back out (I do hope this is not my final email... <grin>). ZZZZAP!!! patrick
