Congrats to Jim Seargeant (long)
The following is a message from the SBIG list on yahoogroups. Congrats to Jim Seargeant for having his CCD work published in the SBIG catalog! ---- Message: 5 Date: Thu, 14 Nov 2002 22:28:12 -0000 From: "Michael Barber" <barber@sbig.com> Subject: Thank You! TO ALL SBIGers: I just wanted to thank the following people whose images were selected for our recent publications. I recently completed a first pass at an updated 2002 SBIG Catalog in PDF format (now available at our web site) and an image sampler on CD-ROM with the images organized by camera type. We get asked for these things a lot. Naturally, we selected what we feel are among the best images for each camera model from our image gallery and from recent submissions for both the catalog and sample image sections of the CD. In reviewing the images two things jump out at you. First is the amazing quality of the work being turned out and second is the sheer number of extremely talented SBIG users there are. We aren't just talking about a few. The catalog and sampler contain the works of literally dozens of you and we had to leave some out just because there wasn't enough room! And these are just the ones that made the last cut - what we consider to be among the best of the best. If you are on this list you are in very special company. If you aren't on the list yet it should still give you pause to consider the many new faces that have made it this far. Call it an SBIG Imagers Hall of Fame if you will, but I just wanted to acknowledge the following 53 people for their contributions to the catalog and sample image section as well as their images in our monthly image calendar: (In alphabetical order) Chris Anderson Jeff Ball David Barmore Adam Block Mark & Shauna Bolton Paul Borchardt Randy Brewer Tom Carrico Adrian Catterall, M.D. Mike Chapa Pin Chin, M.D. Roland Christen Antonio Cidadao Brian Colville Nuno Costa Robert Dalby Brad Ehrhorn Bernd Flach-Wilken Mike Fleenor John Gleason Ed Grafton Ray Gralak Mike Halderman Tony Hallas David Hanon Gary Hug Richard Jacobs, M.D. Gil Jones A. Julian Al Kelly Tan Wei Leong Steve Mandel William McLaughlin Marko Moilanen Stan Moore Mototsugu Motoki, M.D. Jonathan Murray Kunihiko Okano Don Parker Damian Peach Jim Riffle Gerry Samoylk Benoit Schillings Robert Schulz Chris Schur Jim Seargeant Gary Stevens Shoji Suzuki Loke Tan Sean Walker Peter Ward Volker Wendel Ron Wodaski If I missed anyone, and I am sure I did, please forgive me - and let me know. I am updating our web site and will add the sample images from the CD-ROM as I go along. The catalog is already there. Thanks to all of you and congratulations on your achievements. Amateur astronomy has certainly changed in the past 10 years. Regards, Michael Barber SBIG
Thank you, Dale. It appears that my picture made it into SBIG's sample CD. I couldn't find it in the catalog.
