Seems like an interesting, and inexpensive, accessory for binoculars, from another astronomy club. http://www.fvas.net/bino.html
Thanks for the info Bill, I saw this project on the FVAS site about a year ago and have been looking for a first surface mirror ever since. They said that some truck rear view mirrors are first surface but I have never found one that is. I placed an order and am looking forward to a fun winter project. Thanks again, Larry ----- Original Message ----- From: "bill biesele" <xmix@biesele.net> To: <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Monday, November 11, 2002 8:51 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] Binocular accessory

Hello Brent, Nice to hear from you. I am somewhat ashamed to admit that my telescope is still not completely finished but I am using it and I'm very pleased with the image. I have not lost interest in the project and it will get completed. We have just finished building a 24' X 30' shop in our back yard so now I will have some space to work in without moving cars and junk every time I want to work on a project. The first item on my agenda, after I build a workbench or two, is to finish and spit shine the telescope and you will be the first to know when I think it is ready for prime time. I often think about the mirror grinding class and how much fun it was and how much I learned from you. Words can't express how much admiration and appreciation I have for your contribution to the education of others.
