I have been fascinated by the strange material that Curiosity found in the soil of Mars but haven't heard anything more about it for several days. However, while browsing through images from the craft's Mars Hand Lens Imager I came upon several really interesting objects in a close-up taken on Oct. 13. I enlarged and cropped the center of one of the views, and put it on my SLAS gallery here: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=5428 -- in my opinion the blue-gray objects look like organisms. The full frame was posted by NASA here: http://mars.jpl.nasa.gov/msl/multimedia/raw/?rawid=0067MH0008000000R0_DXXX&s... Just for fun, I'd like to see a discussion about what these things are. Thanks, Joe
