RE: [Utah-astronomy] What is to be taught in our schools?
Well said Kurt. Maybe a couple more WHAMs will make sure the horse is dead.
WHAM! WHAM! WHAM! (Sorry, just beating a dead horse here)
In reference to Aaron's object-oriented design remark, I'll say this: I've done object-oriented design for many years as a software designer. In a colloquial sense, I've never made software with nipples. More strictly speaking, I've never designed objects with unnecessary or vestigial features. Object-oriented design means that you share common traits and make special cases where necessary. An object-oriented human might have a pair of legs as a common trait and then place the, 'er, 'um, naughty bits only where necessary. Michael
Then you've never designed for the sites that hit Guy when he does his Web searches using anthropological terms... ;) --- Michael Carnes <michaelcarnes@earthlink.net> wrote:

LOL. You all are not only smart, but also funny. My favorite kind of people. So much more stimulating than the moms at my son's playgroup who only want to talk about fashion and going to the gym, or how they think choosing schools for your kids should be more about maximizing the kids' socializing rather than making sure they are getting a quality education. Thanks for all the info and the chuckles. This has been a very enlightening thread. I'm glad I could be here to read all the thoughtful and intelligent posts, even the ones I haven't totally agreed with. I love a good debate. Other than completely abstaining from using the internet, I went out and purchased the next best protection I could afford against online smut. Question is, how do you roll this stupid thing over the tower without having it tear??? Doh!
You are crass! But oh so funny! Lisa Zeigler
