Other than todays great exchanges I wanted to ask if anyone has plans to go out tonight? The clear sky clock after midnight looks as good as I have seen in a long time. I'll probably be out in the yard. Anybody else?
Steve, I was planning on going out. Probably just in the backyard but I could do something local. Wife is cool with it. Are we still planning a public event for Friday? I haven't looked at the weather for Friday as I know a storm comes in on Saturday. On Wed, Nov 25, 2009 at 3:43 PM, Steve FISHER <sfisher01@msn.com> wrote:

Well, I'm dressed, yep, like the Christmas Story Kid . . . . and the scope is going out to cool. I figure I can't waste the night, even with the moon just past first quarter there are some open clusters and carbon stars calling. That will provide me some peaceful time before I have to go and pick up my mother-in-law for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Hmmm. . . . I'm not tired, maybe an all night session is calling . . . On a side note, a thought came, perhaps we should have a carbon/variable star party sometime . . . a winter get together early in the evening if anyone is interested in something like that. Jay: I have been out in the backyard for a while. I'm getting to old for this kind of weather. I have not heard from Siegfried since we first talked about Friday evening but my situation has changed and I will not be available through the weekend. Maybe next time.
