(Apparently a good thing I didn't try to go to the sun party on Saturday--insane work schedules have fragmented some parts of my brain and they haven't re-coalesced yet). So, anyone else see the flare? Thanks for the invitation, Patrick to see the sun via the 200mm Bogdan and the .5 Angstrom H-a filter. I'd love to have a look, but couldn't get away for the drive from Utah County. To others, I definitely recommend making the trip if you can. The activity on the sun the last few days has been great. I had a wonderful time showing neighbors yesterday afternoon; today one of the neighbors brought her granddaughter who's doing a report on the sun for her 1st grade class--she had a few looks through the Lunt today--a future member? If you are in UT county and want to drop by my place, send me an email directly and we'll see what we can work out--my measly 80mm Lunt gives good views but nothing like what you'd see w/ Patrick, no doubt.
