Does anyone know what the output rating is for the SLAS $10 green laser offer? I haven't seen any specifics sent-out for this, at all. Battery type would be useful, as well.
I played with it for a while, but couldn't tell. So with my remaining eye, I read the package. It says less than 5mW, 532nm+/-10, and repetition rate of 30PPS. Dan -- Sent from an iPad. There should be less mispelings, but more errors. On Oct 17, 2012, at 2:40 PM, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:

A 5mW green laser is pretty weak, expect to see the beam on nights when the atmosphere is full of suspended particulates or water vapor, unless the viewers are very close to being on-axis. On really transparent nights, it's not much good for large groups unless under a good dark sky. Good for small, compressed groups, however. Keep the viewers as on-axis as possible. Thanks!
