Hi Kurt, Thanks for the reminder. The NASA SkyWatch applet located at http://spaceflight.nasa.gov/realdata/sightings also indicates a shuttle sighting this evening, northwest about 9:37, high in the northeast about 9:38 and fading from view low in the southeast about 9:39 (about an hour after sunset). Go Atlantis (this is supposed to be its last flight before being retired). patrick On 14 May 2010, at 00:19, Canopus56 wrote:

Hard to say with the changing weather we've been having lately (yesterday I took off from SLC under very nice skies and returned to land 2 hours later in wind and rain <kind of fun actually>). But right now here in Stansbury the weather is mostly clear. Nice and warm too. SPOC's Clear Sky Clock is calling for clear skies all night. And, BTW, I've been doing a bit of Sun viewing this afternoon. Some very nice prominences. Looking forward to seeing them through SPOC's Bogdan refractor with the DayStar filer (we start that at 6 pm with informal star party to follow so y'all come). patrick
Isn't there a pre-star-party sun party tomorrow afternoon, as well? I've been working in the garden all day, and there's no way I could keep my eyes open for very long tonight. I'm going to shower and then take the Mazda for a spin. But tomorrow night is a possibility. I'd love to try the CGEM out under the stars. On 5/14/10, Patrick Wiggins <paw@wirelessbeehive.com> wrote:

That's the plan. We'll start at 6. After looking at the Sun today we were able to use the circles to find Venus (easy), Sirius and Mars. Nice transparency and good detail. Cheers, patrick
Clear skies here at spoc and lots of proms on the Sun but only four of us here. Where is everybody? patrick :) On May 14, 2010, at 16:07, Chuck Hards <chuck.hards@gmail.com> wrote:
