I added a photo of the new dovetail on a C-bracket to my Gallery page (page 3). Gamo sight installed. I like this dovetail a lot more than the plastic one that comes with the Mars-eye, or the Orion bracket. It has a lower profile, much cleaner and more compact. I made it from 1/8" plate aluminum on the table saw, then a little handwork to remove the cutting marks and put a bit of a shine to it. Woodworking tools only. The particular one in the photo belongs to our own Rich Tenney. Many thanks to Guy for giving me the industry standard dovetail widths! __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! I just added 2 new photo's on my gallery showing what a standard sight dovetail looks like without a reflex sight obstructing it's view. ;) This particular setup is considered the "Ultimate" star party package. Not only will it keep sheep, wolves and gang bangers from your star party site, now you can mount a reflex sight, a laser pointer, a flashlight and a bayonet to your favorite scope. ;)
People who drive cars have accidents, folks who bowl have accidents, people who skydive and scuba dive have accidents. People getting scared out of their wits have accidents, and an attorney sneaking upon someone with a shotgun without verbally announcing his presence, is going to have an accident. Fortunately for this guy he was an attorney. We all know that where there is an attorney, there is usually an ambulance close by... and there was ;) Quoting Patrick Wiggins <paw@trilobyte.net>:

Having just watched the news I initially thought maybe you were referring to the vice president...

Thanks Joe. The old James Bond yes, the new one, I'm not so sure. From what little I've seen of him, he looks like he might be afraid of guns. Hopefully he likes women. What would James Bond be like without girls AND guns??? ;) Quoting Joe Bauman <bau@desnews.com>:
Beautifully machined, Guy. Looks like something Bond, James Bond would like. -- Joe
