I think many religious people, for whatever reason, are insecure in feeling that if their children are given a choice, they might stray. I'm confident that we (if we choose to) can teach our kids about God and bring them up in such a way that when they are taught good science, like evolution, stellar mechanics, etc, it will all make total sense to them. Why can't the religious right just teach intelligent design in their churches? Then they can teach what they want. I don't know why they have to use the court's precious time for stuff like this. Keep science in the schools and religion in churches.
