LOL! Science uses the metric system, even in the U.S.A. Seems to me that anyone who dabbles in astronomy or the physical sciences should be functional with it, at least on a "survival" level. It's not a sin to not want to use it, but if a person wants to interact with the astronomical community at-large, they can't really expect everyone else to change to units they are comfortable with. "When in Rome..." Astronomy runs on UT. It's not hard to remember when 0H UT occurs in your time zone. If it is, stick a reminder note on your monitor.
