Hopefully, putting those pavers over possibly functioning sprinklers won't cause excessive leakage that could undermine the ground around those sprinklers. What about sticking red traffic safety cones over the sprinkler heads to allow safe removal of equipment should they come on. Several could be purchase for about $100. Get the kind that don't have a hole on top or tape the hole. If some glow tape were put on them they could be seen at night.
Even if an agreement is made with the Park people there can always be a slip up.
