Friends: I let you all know a couple of weeks ago that Dwight Ball Was hospitalized. This morning I called his cell phone to see how he was doing, but I was several hours too late. Dwight passed away last night. I hope he's among the stars and deep sky objects that he loved to see with his own homemade telescopes. Dwight was another good friend from my association with SLAS who was always interested in sharing ideas, especially about ATM'ing. Dwight was a machinist and was very generous with offers to make parts for others' ATM needs. Dwight was a military veteran, but I don't remember in which branch he served. I know that he had been posted in Vietnam. I'll be looking for an obit for more details. I don't know much about his extended family and other friends, but my prayers and condolences go out to them. I'm also reminded how much I appreciate all of you and my many other astronomy acquaintances. At the risk of sounding too mushy, thanks to all for being my friends. Kim
