Hi Kim, It does sound like an interesting galaxy to observe and/or image. There is one commitment that my kids added to my schedule tonight. But, sometime between 6-7:30, or after 9:30 (to about 11pm) should still work. Clear skies, Dale.

Hi Dale,
If there's nebulosity around a nearby "star", then that star very likely is the galaxy. It's not at all uncommon for galaxy positions to be an arc-minute or so in error, and many "stars" in the Tycho catalog are really galactic nuclei.
