is that Mercury to the below right of Venus?
Cumulative image no. 2 - two positions of Venus are fainly visible in the
lower right-hand corner. http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4232
Even though it is at magnitude -2.1 - Jupiter was not visible at any point through 6:15am.
I'll be putting this aside until May 7, since I have my gear and routine worked out. Hopefully by then Jupiter will rise out of the Sun's glare.
For the May 9 conjunction, it may be that both Jupiter and Venus will only be visible by applying higher telescopic magnificaion.
Clear Skies - Kurt
