Solar action continues at a reasonably high pace today. The area associated with yesterday's "largish" prominence continued to produce a large prominence today. Smaller prominences visible over 2/3 of the solar limb. At least three sunspot groups worth mentioning, so white-light-only people aren't left out. Much surface activity in addition to prominences on the limb. Plage and other surface features easily seen in my white-light 50mm scope (Baader filter), in addition to the sunspots, which are obvious in H-a in the PST. There's only one star this close to us, people. Lot's going-on right now to see.
