Brent, like David I don't understand where the misconception about the Oct 8 eclipse came from. However, if the Gods permit clear skies again, we'll be able to see the entire show. With partial ending at 6:35 a.m., and the beginning of civil twilight starting at 7:04 a.m. (according to the US Naval Observatory's Astronomical Applications Deptartment), there's a good window of darkness for those of us in the West wanting to stick it out to the very end. Lunar transit is at 1:06 a.m. BTW. Tom Sevcik
