We had an event at the 7th Street Harmons for the Mercury transit. There was no event for Venus because it wasn't visible from here. Sig I have pictures of the Mercury event. On Tue, Jun 5, 2012 at 11:18 AM, <erikhansen@thebluezone.net> wrote:
I also have a vague memory of setting up at East High School with the clubs DayStar with Kim Hyatt and I think Dave Bennett, for some sort of solar event.
These things kind of run together and get blurred with time. The last solar maximum I set up the DayStar H-alpha weekly at requested public locations. BTW, the 50mm f30 scope I have is available for loan, although you would need to check with Roger Butz about using the clubs Daystar H-alpha filter. It is adapted to fit G-11 mounts, It does give outstanding views.
