Years ago, I read of a couple of guys from Nat'l Geographic (I think), who toured the entire island with ultralights. Incredible scenery; a geological wonderland- but apparently the "wow" factor is lost on the natives. For what it's worth, I once worked with a fellow from Iceland. He told me that there wasn't exactly a lot to do out there. By way of example, he was with a friend who decided to test the electrical conductivity of a saline solution on an electric fence. His friend just happened to be carrying such a saline solution in a reservoir in his body, so he administered it personally. Apparently, he learned all he needed to learn from a single test.
