I got one of them. It came with an $1000.00 invoice, but as you said, I only paid $23.40 (and it will always officially remain the property of NASA). The paperwork was intense and necessitated the use of the school's educational code (ID?). Yet, it is worth the trouble to have "my own" very real shuttle tile! NASA is offering Space Shuttle Tiles for free you just have to pay the shipping which is $23.40. Here is the LA Times article: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/nationnow/2011/09/so-your-town-didnt-land-a-... Here is the official NASA site: http://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2010/dec/HQ_10-317_Shuttle_Tiles.html So if your part of a school or university and want one, here is a chance. It would be cool if SLAS could get one for SPOC. -- Jay Eads _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php
