I also have a vague memory of setting up at East High School with the clubs DayStar with Kim Hyatt and I think Dave Bennett, for some sort of solar event.
These things kind of run together and get blurred with time. The last solar maximum I set up the DayStar H-alpha weekly at requested public locations. BTW, the 50mm f30 scope I have is available for loan, although you would need to check with Roger Butz about using the clubs Daystar H-alpha filter. It is adapted to fit G-11 mounts, It does give outstanding views. Erik
