Here's what I just posted to the Supernova search group. Now I just have to wait... patrick On 18 Jun 2015, at 01:59, Wiggins Patrick <paw@digis.net> wrote:
Here's a comparison of what I'm seeing (top) and the POSS image.
What do y'all think?

After letting the SN in NGC 4108 get away a couple of days ago I've been extra vigilant checking my latest images.
Last night I saw something in NGC 3888 that I figured was just an artifact of poor seeing but tonight's images show it still there and bigger and brighter. It is not on previous images.
It's barely noticeable, blending in with the north side of the galaxy. So I'm not convinced enough to stick my neck out by reporting it officially.
I can find no mention of a SN in 3888 in the usual places.
Like I say I'm still not convinced it's a SN but after my experience the other night I figured I'd ask here to see if anyone else might be able to image it and see what they think.
Anyone?
