On the first one you took I couldn't help but notice on the enlarged version all the stars that were in the field of view. Some of them were pretty darn red. Amazing. I was also out these past few night doing the same thing. I decided to shoot my photos earlier than Joe as I prefer the dark blue colors of the early evening sky as opposed to black. The first was taken on Feb 24th when I had my scope out at a park near my home and some of the neighbor kids couldn't help but be fascinated with their closer look at the planets: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4875 The next two were taken on Feb 26 from the parking lot of the Reams Food Store near the corner of 35th South and 72nd West: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4878 about 5 minutes after the above was taken I noticed a jetliner heading towards the "planetary constellation". As luck would have it, the plane with its subsequent light trail headed straight towards the Moon http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4881 ________________________________ From: Joe Bauman <josephmbauman@yahoo.com> To: Utah Astronomy <utah-astronomy@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Sunday, February 26, 2012 9:25 PM Subject: [Utah-astronomy] tonight's conjunction The best I could do tonight: http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=4872 -- Thanks for taking a look, Joe _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Send messages to the list to Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com The Utah-Astronomy mailing list is not affiliated with any astronomy club.
