Joe, We had a pretty good show, as you could tell from all the oohs and ahhs, at Wolf Creek (aka: the Land of the Wind Chill Factor) despite the cold. Many of the Perseids traveled directly along the Milky Way making the spectacle even more beautiful. The brightest of the meteors left a smoke train that lasted several minutes as it was blown around by the upper atmosphere. There weren't as many bolides on Monday night as some of the Perseid showers in the past have produced but all in all (as Patrick stated) a very good primer for November's Leonids. And, No!, we will not be going to Wolf Creek in November. Possibly Death Valley though. Regards, Dave Bennett On Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at 11:43 AM, Joe Bauman wrote:
Also, any comments from my fellow sufferers from Wolf Creek Campground?
