Patrick, Beautiful graph. I would like to learn more. I wonder if Ostro has a flat shiny side that flashes in rotatiaon or if it had a military runway beacon with a double flash like that :--)) Seriously though, good job. Also very interesting recording of the radio traffic. The pilot was as cool as the Hudson in the winter; no emotion in his voice that I could hear. It contains a few brightness spikes I can't explain so it's not perfect but I like it enough to display it. And I'm hoping it might get some of you interested in doing light curve work (hint: it's much more forgiving of poor seeing, lesser equipment and operator screw ups than taking "pretty" pictures of the sky <g>). http://www.slas.us/gallery2/main.php?g2_itemId=965 And off topic but still interesting, here's the entire tower recording from prior to take off to just past splash down for the airplane that ended up in the Hudson river last month: http://www.avweb.com/podcast/podcast/AudioPodcast_USAirwaysFlight1549_Audio_... patrick _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://gallery.utahastronomy.com Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com
