Hi Rich, Even if the weather allows, I'm not expecting to be able to get out for the Geminids. But let me take the opportunity to welcome you. I've only been in Utah a few years myself, but have found quite a few interesting folks in the club. I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Don't know where you were before (I was in New England), but observing opportunities really diminish in the winter here. Some of our best remote spots are inaccessible and the valleys often get socked in by clouds and trapped pollution. You'll certainly notice some cabin fever on this list as winter proceeds. We get out of our caves around April. I will note there are a few southern Utahns on the list. They'll take the opportunity to let us know when it's warm and clear in the south. We call that "rubbing it in".
In the meantime, hook up with SLAS (www.slas.us). We've had a run of good speakers at meetings and you'll have a chance to meet people.

Greetings Everyone,
I am new to this list, I don't know how many subscribers there are but, I am looking for any groups planning to meet tomorrow night for the climax of the Geminids. I am relatively new to Utah so I would love to meet new people with similar interests.
Thank you,
