News just released by JPL puts tomorrow's "Miss Distance" at .0003 AU. The previous record was .0131 AU. Unfortunately it will not be visible from Utah during closest approach but it will be when it transits at 3:30 tomorrow morning, about 12 hours prior to closest approach. Ought to really be screaming across the sky by then. Patrick -- Patrick Wiggins NASA Solar System Ambassador to Utah http://planet.state.ut.us paw@trilobyte.net
