Kurt, Thanks for the heads-up on grease verses temperature. I got lithium grease and the container only says that it is useful over a wide range of temperatures; what ever that means. I stuck it outside in the cold and check it and it was still quite uh… viscous/ pliable? It was still greasy. To be sure I will be checking it on one of these cool mornings next time we get a chance to check out Lulin. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but on these "how to" things, a video is worth a thousand pictures. Way to go, Jim. Tackling a mount disassembly shows some guts (or atleast more than I have). - Kurt P.S. - A note on the grease. There are some kinds of grease that will turn into a solid below freezing temperature. Other kinds are made to stay viscous down to 0 deg F. _______________________________________________ Utah-Astronomy mailing list Utah-Astronomy@mailman.xmission.com http://mailman.xmission.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/utah-astronomy Visit the Photo Gallery: http://gallery.utahastronomy.com Visit the Wiki: http://www.utahastronomy.com
