Public Hearing at SLC Library on Wednesday Dec 7th. Obama is not a pro environmental president. I believe Erik's statement regarding President Obama is very relevant. Perhaps if Obama were more of a pro environment president, the scientists of the BLM would not be skewing environmental impact data in favor of the fossil fuel and mining industries. Henceforth, there would be no consideration of opening a mine that will detrimentally impact Bryce Canyon and other wild state and federal lands.
Much appreciated, Jon. I don't want to believe that every scientist who works for the BLM ignores scientific principles and the scientific method. If so, we are wasting tax dollars paying their salaries. If we hire scientists, they should perform as scientists. I realize that this is probably naive, but then, if these people will always skew data to reflect the political bent of the president who is in office at the time of their employment, then there is absolutely no reason to spend even one more dime on them. Let them all go, immediately. It is a waste of the money withheld from my paycheck every two weeks. Absolute waste. If you hire a scientist, you expect science. Not politics. Too bad this country isn't above cronyism. It's just another symptom of our inevitable downfall.
