Now there's an idea; gonna have to give it some thought, and maybe come up with something as ugly as my crutches-ogram. Maybe just use schedule 40 sprinkler line, that's pretty ugly... :-)
From what Patrick posted, what I saw wasn't the ISS; it was about 5:30 am or so when I saw the satellite.
I few years back I spent a wicked cold night in Evanston Wyo for a Geminids Peak. They were fabulous, and worth the early stage frostbite on my face. It was like something Jack London would have written about. While the skies aren't quite as dark, the backyard hot tub does have it's own advantages...
