I don't think the object here is to get a bunch of people to attend. I am interested in looking through my telescope and comparing what I see to what others are seeing through theirs. This activity does not lend itself to getting many folks who don't have their own scopes to look through, ie a bunch of people. I am more than happy to share this with other serious observers. Here, the more the merrier. I just want time at the eyepiece without catering to the public, or someone without a telescope. Am I being to stingy? I am planning to be in Parowan on the 31st. We could do it there. It is dark. We could come out and pick you up at the airport. It was the trip to Parowan that made me pick the next month because I thought we would get more people to a local party.

Why wait so long? I think the first weekend in February would be great. That is a new moon weekend, and could be done in conjunction with the shuttle re-entry. All we need is a dark location with GOOD seeing.
