Wonderful night out at Kolob Canyons last night. Not as dark as Rainbow Point but only 42 miles from my house. We showed some people Saturn, M22, M13, and M17 last night. I don't think they had ever looked through a telescope so they were amazed by the views. Dave set up his 20" Obsession even though we had a few hours of deep sky stuff. Seeing was average, but I did manage to split 52 Cygni after viewing the Veil Nebula.

I'll just take my refractor tonight. I want to see Jupiter with all it's stripes. I don't want to go to all the trouble and set up the 15" for 2+ hours of observing. I need to get out of the heat again. 101 degrees right now so I'm headed north.
