Kurt, Since you have Windows 7 Professional, you can download for free and install a Windows XP emulation that allows you to use your laptop as an XP machine. I did this on mine and I can run all my old XP devices etc. The USB ports under emulation have to be added using the attach function in the top center. You can move back and forth between Windows 7 and emulation as though XP were just another window.
